A: We use equipment specifically created to etch the surface of glass by using compressed air to etch the glass with abrasive materials. The abrasive material does not go deep into the glass and creates a one-dimensional "frosted" appearance.
(KGE does not acid etch or use laser engraving machines of any kind.)

 

Q: Are the materials safe?
A: Yes, the materials we use to etch glass are 100% human, pet and plant safe.

Q: How long will I be without Windows or Door(s)?
A: You won't, we do not remove any glass from your home or business. We do all our Kustom Glass Etching on-site and our trained staff clean up the site upon completion of the job. We do ask that your animals are in a secure place inside your home as we don't want anyone to lose a valued family member. We may at some time during the job, have to enter the interior of your property and our staff know that some animals can be great escape artists.

 

Q: What is your average completion time on a job?
A: Well, that of course, depends upon the size and amount of work required, we can hash all of that over once we know what you want and where you want it done.

 

Q: How is the design determined?
A: For the most part, you the client may already have basic design style in mind. We work closely with your personal preferences, combining our expertise, creativity and knowledge, we will collaborate thru discussions with you in creating a one-of-a-kind custom design. There are virtually no limits to the design possibilities. We have a talented art team at the ready to assist in filling your needs.

A: You have many options. We come to your residence or business. Unlike many glass etchng companies, we etch the glass on location You simply complete and submit the quote request form within our web site. Q: How do I place an order today?
A: Pick up a phone, give us a call and we will set up an interview to discuss your needs, after these are discussed and agreed upon, including price of job, by written quote, we require a small deposit. We will begin creating the custom drawing, which you will receive within 7-10 business days from the date of deposit. Once you have approved your design we will put you on our work schedule and return to your residence or business to start the job. We will notify you as to our arrival date and time, no stalling, no excuses. When your project is complete we require the balance to be paid in full.
